Westport – Leo J. DiSanti, 92, of Westport, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at home after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mary R. (Longo) DiSanti.
He was born in Providence, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Cucinotta) DiSanti, and grew up as a young man in Boston and had resided in Somerset, MA, Florida and Westport for many years. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a boxmaker for the former Slater Paper Box in Fall River. He served his country for 12 years as a member of the United States National Guard.
Mr. DiSanti was an avid bowler who loved bowling with his son competing in various tournaments throughout the country. He enjoyed golfing and playing the numbers game. He was a charter member of the Somerset Progressive Club.
He is survived by a son: Joseph J. DiSanti of Westport; a brother: John Patti of Manchester, NH; 3 grandchildren: Donald DiSanti of Westport, Doreen DiSanti of New Bedford and Denise Onorato of Westport; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Santo DiSanti, Peter DiSanti, Josephine Savage, Joseph Patti and Anthony Patti.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, followed by an interment service at St. Michael Cemetery, 500 Canterbury St., Roslindale, MA at 1:00 P.M. in the Resurrection Chapel.
