WORCESTER - George L. George, 81 of 186 Chester Street died Sunday, July 18 in Webster Manor Nursing Home, Webster after a illness.
He leaves his wife of 60 years Helen I. (Hudson) George; two sons James L. George and Randolph A. George both of Worcester; two daughters Mary E. Kelly of Worcester and Melissa A. Westerlind of Fayetteville, NC; a sister Pandora Groves of Burke, VA; five grandsons; two granddaughters; one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two grandsons and a brother William V. George. He was born in Worcester son of Louis and Constantina (Drenova) George.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.
Mr. George was a caterer for New England Canteen for many years before retiring. He also was a delivery person for Kraska Auto Parts. He was an member of Saint Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church and was an avid bowler and a devoted Red Soxs Fan.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at 11 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, July 20 from 5 to 8 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.RoyFuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street, Worcester.
