Robert Ralph Vannoy, 73, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Washington Co., VA to Robert Lee & Jessie Mae (Nelson) Vannoy.
Bob was a Machine Operator for Reynolds Aluminum with 32 years experience and a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 767 and Past State Commander; D.A.V.; V.F.W. Post # 8639; and a counselor at Interlink.
Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years Delores (Stanley) Vannoy; his children:
Robert R. Jr. and Kenneth Vannoy; his step-children: Becky Tiller (Mike), Mark Embry (Barbara), and Connie Ammon (Joe); 7 Grandchildren; a Brother: Raymond N. Vannoy (Henrietta); 2 Sisters: Romagean Personne and Thelma Blake; several Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
Visitation will be Sunday 2 - 8 PM Expressions: Wounded Warrior Project
