Roy A. MacKay, of Carver, formerly of Plymouth and Sandwich, died on February 19th at Jordan Hospital at the age of 80. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Shirley (Manson) of Carver and his sons Scott MacKay of Duxbury and Kevin MacKay of Greenfield. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren Justin, Ian, and Allie. He was the father of the late Gary MacKay.
Roy was born in Brockton, son of the late Neil and Mary (MacKenzie) MacKay. He was a contractor and builder of many houses in the Plymouth area.
He enjoyed model airplanes and was one of the founders of the South Shore Radio Control Club in Bridgewater.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday February 25th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth from 6 to 8 PM. All services and burial will be private.
