Diamantina O. Bento, age 95 0f Fall River, passed away on Feb. 20, 2013. Born in Arrifes, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife of the late Joao Bento. Prior to retiring, Diamantina worked in the Textile Mfg. Industry as a Sewing Machine Operator, and she was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church.
She is survived by her son, Joao Bento and daughter Natalia Martinho, both of Fall River; grandchildren: Matthew Martinho, Michelle Federowicz & Natalie Tavares; great grandchildren: Alyssa Barbier, Cassandra Camara, Alexis & Jazmyn Tavares, Alexia and Allyria Federowicz; great-great granddaughter: Emma Vieira. Diamantina was the mother of the late Maria Bispo and the sister of the late Maria Oliveira.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on TUESDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
