Obituary

Jayne C. (Norton) Driscoll 88, of Natick, died peacefully Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at her home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick H. Driscoll who died in 2007.

A Natick resident for 60 years she was born in Dubuque Iowa, the daughter of the late Howard and Lucille (Floyd) Norton.

Mrs. Driscoll was an Administrative Secretary for the Raytheon Company in Wayland retiring in 1988 and had formerly worked for Dennison Corporation of Framingham.

After graduating from High School on the National Honor Society, she enlisted in the Navy Waves in 1942 and was stationed in Washington D.C. during World War II where she met her future husband Fred.

She was Honorably Discharged in July of 1946 as Yeoman First Class.

Mrs. Driscoll was a proud member in good standing of the American Legion Post of Natick for 63 years, she was Commander of the American Women’s Legion Post # 410 for many years. She was also a member of the D.A.V, All Navy Women’s National Alliance, and Old Ironsides Association, Secretary of the Newton Memorial Day Parade, The Women’s Veterans Echelon 20-4 Association, and was a member of the Ashland Post Auxiliary #77.She was also an avid Boston Red Sox and longtime Green Bay Packers Fan.

Mrs. Driscoll is survived by her three devoted children Kathy L. (Driscoll) Burgess of Natick, Frederick N. Driscoll of Natick, Diane L. (Driscoll) Imhof of Ashland, five cherished grandchildren Jeffrey Imhof, Kevin Burgess, Lori Burgess, Matthew Driscoll, Timothy Driscoll, great-grandchildren, A.J. Burgess, Tyler Burgess, Cullen Eastman, Brianna Skidgel, Jackson Driscoll and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the grandmother of the late Kerri Lee Driscoll and mother in law of the late Lawrence Imhof



Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday February 26, at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Zepherin Church 99 Main Street Wayland at 10:00 A.M.

Visiting hours are Monday February 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
