Robert E. Mulligan, 55

Dateline: Norton, MA

Robert E. Mulligan, age 55, of Norton passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Mount St. Rita Health Centre in Cumberland, R.I.
Born in Springfield, MA he was a loving son of the late Patrick and Bernadette (Hogan) Mulligan.
Bob grew up and was educated in Springfield, and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield. He furthered his education and was a graduate of North Adams State College and had also attended Northeastern University.
Throughout his working career, Mr. Mulligan had worked at various financial service firms, most recently at State Street in Boston.
A resident of Norton for the past 25 years, Bob was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton. When not spending time with family, one of his favorite past times was playing golf, and he was a former member of the Norton Country Club.
He is survived by his devoted children, Rosemary K. Mulligan and Brendan M. Mulligan both of Norton. He was the dear brother of Ann Mulligan of Pembroke, Patrick Mulligan of Wilbraham, Eileen Mulligan of Exeter, NH and Frances Foster and her husband Paul of Fairhaven. He is also survived by 3 nephews.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23rd at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will be held at 3:00 P.M. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 22nd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
