Joseph DiRico, 70 of Lynn, died Sunday after a long illness in the Melrose/Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, MA.
Born in Italy he lived in Lynn for the past 3 years and was formerly of Medford and Watertown. Joseph was a Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction industry for 50 years and worked in the Boston and Phoenix, Arizona area.
Beloved husband of Peggy (Tanner) DiRico. Devoted father of Joseph, Patty, James, Angel, Christopher, Cornell, and Derianna DiRico. Also survived by 7 loving grandchildren. Cherished son of Antonio DiRico of Watertown and the late Luigia (D’Alleva). Brother of Maria, Rita, Rocco, Silvio, Thomas and Robert.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Paul Cemetery, Arlington.
