TEWKSBURY - Marguerite T. (Kelleher) Morgan, age 82, a Tewksbury resident for more than six decades, died unexpectedly surrounded by all her children, Tuesday morning, February 19, at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Morgan, who died in 1972.
She was born in East Boston, October 25, 1930, one of nine children of the late Edmund and Marguerita “Rita” (Wilcox) Kelleher, and was raised in Somerville. Upon her marriage to Bill, they moved to Tewksbury in 1950 to raise their family. Mrs. Morgan was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
She worked as a waitress at the former Greenridge Turkey Farm for more than 30 years, leaving only when the landmark restaurant closed.
She was described by her family as having been a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who seemed to love and touch everyone and anyone she met.
She leaves her six beloved children, William H. Morgan and his wife Angela (DeQuatro) of Rutland, VT, Gary J. Morgan and his wife Karen (Scanzillo) of Billerica, Donna M. Moore and her husband Robert of Tewksbury, Michael P. Morgan and his wife Donna (D’Auteiul) of Bedford, NH, Paul F. Morgan and his wife Corinne (Rooney) of Tewksbury, and Judith Ann Murphy of Tewksbury; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; six siblings; Patricia Whalen of Tewksbury, Katherine Mack of Westford, Carol O’Rourke and her husband Robert of CA, Daniel Kelleher of Lowell, John Kelleher and his wife Kay of N.C., Joseph Kelleher and his wife Zelia of Tewksbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Glynn, and brother, Ed Kelleher.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, Feb. 22, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, will be appreciated.
