September 1, 1918-February 17, 2013. Taunton –Margaret (Rusconi) Minardi, 94 passed away peacefully in Taunton. Margaret was born on September 1, 1918 in Middletown, Connecticut to Giuseppe Rusconi of Noceno, Italy and Rosa (Maglia) Rusconi of Gittana, Italy. She was preceded in her death by her parents, her brothers, Primo Rusconi, Dino Rusconi and Joseph Bryan and her sister Joan Friary. Margaret was the beloved wife of Raymond Minardi who preceded her in death on January 13, 2013. She is survived by her brother, James Rusconi, of Taunton and her daughters Dianne Sale and her husband William of Raynham, daughter Lois Shafer of Stockton, CA., Patricia Emond and her husband Paul of Fort Meyers, FL., and her son Raymond Minardi and his wife Linda of Fairhaven. Margaret was the proud grandmother of seven and seven great grandchildren. Margaret graduated from Taunton High School in 1936 and worked as a seamstress for many years. She was a dedicated homemaker, producing intricate crafts, including woven baskets and used her skills as a seamstress to create beautiful clothing for her children. She was outstanding in the kitchen and produced desserts that were second-to-none. Margaret loved flowers and enjoyed the small animals and birds that visited her well-kept yard. Margaret will be remembered for her feisty spirit and her unquenchable sense of humor and her dedication to her family and friends. She loved interacting with children and volunteered her time reading to children. All are invited to visit and to say goodbye at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday February 20th from 4-8 PM. A Mass will be held at St Ann’s Church in Raynham on Thursday at 10 AM. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
