Gino Scaramuzzo a longtime Medford resident died peacefully at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 87.
Born and raised in Italy he was the son of the late Pietro Giovannina (DiGiovanni) Scaramuzzo. He came to the United Staes in the mid 1950’s lived in Somerville and then settled in Medford where he raised his family. He was a talented chef who worked at some of Boston’s finest restaurants including Fantasia’s Joseph’s and Lock-Ober’s. a member of Local 26, Gino was a devoted family man who enjoyed time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
The beloved husband of Katherine (Marinello), Gino was a devoted father to Peter Scaramuzzo and his wife Elaine of Westford, Joanne Bradley and her husband John of Melrose and Vincent Scaramuzzo of Medford. A loving grandfather to Chiara, Adam, Francesca and Juliana, He was a dear brother to Manfredo Scaramuzzo of Medford, the late Emma Perella, Nino Scaramuzzo and also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, February 19th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Monday 4 – 8 PM.
