Celia A. Dors, 90, of Derry, NH, died Thursday February 14, 2013 in Parkland Medical Center in Derry. She was born in Derry on February 17, 1922, a daughter of the late Alexander and Amelia (Jakaboska) Borowski. As a lifelong Derry resident, she was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy. She had been an active communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry where she had done volunteer work for over forty years. She was also was active with the Senior Citizens in Derry. Mrs. Dors was an avid flower gardener and had her garden featured in the Derry News. She loved spending time outdoors, enjoyed cooking, baking, and decorating cakes which she made for special family occasions. Most of all she loved time spent with her family.
She is survived by her five children, Carol Dors of Silver Spring, MD, Kenneth Dors, Cynthia Zarrelli, and Charles Dors all of Derry, and Priscilla Flynn of Nashua, NH; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George Dors in 1990.
A calling hour was held on Monday, February 18th from 8:30 - 9:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial followed at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. Private burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, 448 Donald Street, Bedford, NH.
