Obituary

Whitman- Anne L. (Halloran) McLean 91, died Thursday February 14 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Hugh J. McLean.

Born in Fall River and raised in Quincy she was the daughter of the late John P. and Margaret (Duggan) Halloran, and a graduate of Quincy High School.

Anne had been a resident of Whitman and was a communicant of the Holy Ghost Church, and an active member of the Whitman Senior Center. She was formerly of Quincy and Marston Mills and most recently had been a resident of the Allterton House in Weymouth.

She enjoyed shopping, trips to Foxwoods, and had bowled in local bowling leagues in the area. She was a talented knitter and willing shared the items she created with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving son Donald McLean and his wife Jean of Whitman, her grandchildren Peter McLean and his wife Andrea of Weymouth and Kathryn Wallace and her husband Sean of Hanover, her great grandchildren William and Ashley McLean, her sister Dorothy O’Brien of Falmouth and her sister-in-law Penny Halloran of Kingston as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Jack Halloran, Mary Ilgen and Margaret Norton.

Her services will be held Thursday February 21 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. A private burial will take place in the MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday February 20 from 5-7 PM.
