Joseph “Joe” H. Sarris III, 42, of Franklin and formerly of Medway died suddenly February 12 at Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Norwood, April 3,1970, the son of Joseph “Howie” Sarris and his wife Gail Richardson of Medway and Kathryn (Donahue) Nicholson and her husband Wayne Nicholson of Franklin, Mr. Sarris was raised in Medway and had lived in New Hampshire and California prior to returning to Franklin 2 years ago.
He was a 1988 graduate of Medway High School.
Mr. Sarris had been working at the EMC facility in Franklin as a computer assembler at the time of his death.
He had previously worked in the telecommunication field in California.
He had been a member of the Port Norfolk Yacht Club in Dorchester for many years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters Margaret S. and Aileen R. Sarris of Bakersfield, California.
He is also survived by his step-sister Amanda Nicholson of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire and his step-brother Shawn Nicholson of Franklin.
Mr. Sarris was the former husband of Laura E. (Knapp) Sarris of Bakersfield, California.
His funeral will be held on Monday February 18 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street in Medway at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:00
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
