Rex Willis Busbin, Sr., 59, of Mystic, Georgia, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, February 15, 2013, at Pinetta Baptist Church with the Rev. David Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Busbin was born June 23, 1953, in Ocilla, to the late Gordon and Betty Polly Busbin. He lived in the community all of his life and was a carpenter. He was a former member of the Irwin County Saddle Club, and he enjoyed farming, gardening, and fishing in his spare time. He was also a member of Pinetta Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Diane Busbin of Mystic; daughter and son-in-law: Mary & Al Scarborough of Tifton, Heather Busbin & fiancé Chance Carpenter of Doles; son and daughter-in-law: Rex, Jr. & Amanda Busbin of Wilcox County; grandsons: David Scarborough, Adam Scarborough and Elijiah Busbin; granddaughter: Eden Scarborough; brothers: Larry Busbin of Ocilla, Ricky (Donna) Busbin of Pearson, Florida, Tim Busbin of Ocilla, and Dale Busbin of Ocilla; and sisters: Debbie Busbin Heath of Alapaha, Betty Kay (Robert) Williams of Ocilla, and Donna (Dale) Mims of LaGrange. Along with his parents, his brother Cecil Busbin preceded him in death.
