Charlayne N. McClard, 21, of Merrimack, NH, died unexpectedly Monday February 11, 2013 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua, NH. She was born in Winchester, MA on July 17, 1991 and had been a resident of Merrimack for the past 3 1/2 years, formerly living in Raymond, NH and Derry, NH.
She attended Pinkerton Academy in Derry and Raymond High School, and later attended Nashua Community College where she was on the Dean's List. Charlayne loved music, reading, and art. She also liked to write short stories which she posted online and she enjoyed zombie movies.
She is survived by her father, Harry E. McClard, Jr. and his wife Carol of Raymond; her stepfather, William Tuttle of Merrimack; her sister, Sarah Freedman of Fort Mohave, AZ; her half brother, David McClard and his family of Raleigh, NC; one half sister, Susan Darnel and her family of Gadsden, AL, and step brother Robert A. Turcotte, Jr, of Newmarket, NH; her maternal grandmother, Constance (Cushman) Anderson of Derry; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Ruth E. Haak on January 23, 2013.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Friday, February 15th from 5:00 - 7:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A memorial service will follow at 7:30pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of one's choice.
