Larry G. Cushing
Vietnam War Era Veteran
TEWKSBURY: Larry G. Cushing, age 66, a resident of Tewksbury for 12 years, formerly of Lowell, passed away at home, on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
He was the beloved husband of Jeanne L. (Gramstorff) Cushing, with whom he celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on July 6, 2012.
Born in Henniker, NH on March 27, 1946, he was the son of the late Willard F. Cushing and the late Frances (Gauthier) Cushing.
Larry was raised in Henniker, NH and graduated from Manchester West High School.
In 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Larry served during the Vietnam War era with the 67th Sig Battalion and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his active duty service.
Larry worked in the Landscape Irrigation industry and was previously employed as a restaurant manager.
He enjoyed taking walks in the woods of Maine, cooking, music, baseball, football, and the companionship of his dog "Cocoa Bean".
In addition to his wife Jeanne, he is survived by one son, Steven J. G. Cushing and his wife Jessica of Dracut; two grandchildren, Brady J. and Emily M. Cushing.
Relatives and friends will be received Saturday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., in the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Memorial Service to follow at 12 Noon.
