Obituary

Maureen A. (Rana) Potash, 59, of Worcester and Dennis, died Monday, February 11th in Brigham and Woman’s Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves her loving husband, Howard J. Potash; her father, Maurice J. Rana; her brother, John M. Rana and his wife, Patricia; her sister, Karen F. Clark and her husband, James; two nephews, Michael J. Clark and Matthew J. Rana; and a niece, Tracy A. Clark and her fiancé, Justin Eisnor all of Worcester. She also leaves her beloved cats, Midgee and Olive.

She was born in Worcester; her mother was the late Lorraine (Eident) Rana. “Moe” was a graduate of South High School and had been employed in the Human Health Service field for eighteen years. She especially loved time spent with her family; and time spent at her home at the Cape. Maureen also enjoyed cooking, reading, and long sunny days at the beach. “Moe” will be remembered for her kindness and compassion and will be sadly missed by all.

Her funeral is Thursday, February 14th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, February 13th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
