SANTO, Patricia Kathryn Brown, 88, (6/12/24) of Wellesley and Sun City West Arizona died early Sunday morning, February 10, 2013 in her Wellesley home surrounded by family.
The wife of the late Donald M. Santo, of Wellesley, she leaves her daughters: Susan Santo Laidlaw and Renee Patricia Heffernan of Dover, Mary Veronica Santo of N. Providence, Rhode Island; her son, William R. Santo of Westwood, and six grandchildren. Sister of the late John W. Brown.
Mrs. Santo was born in Osakis, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Veronica Brown. She graduated from The University of Minnesota with a degree in social work and worked for Catholic Charities in Minneapolis before moving east with her husband and family.
She belonged to St. Paul Church in Wellesley, where she served as a daily mass lectern and was a member of a Wellesley bible studies group. She was also active with the University of Minnesota Alumni Association. In Arizona, she played Tournament Bridge at the Briarwood Country Club. She also spent many years as a volunteer working one-on-one with at-risk high school girls to encourage them to complete their education.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Thursday, February 14 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley at 10 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday, February 13 from 5-8 pm. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
