Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church Parish Center at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary
Mr. Williams died Tuesday morning at the Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, son of the late David and Ellen (Coleman) Williams, he was a life long resident of Brockton.
During WW II he served as a Medic in the US Army in the European Theatre. He had been employed for 20 years as a machinist at Ward machine and he was also an optician who worked at Colonial Optical and Bausch and Lomb both in Quincy.
Member of the American Legion Post 35. For many years he met with his friends at Campello News for coffee and conversation and he was often called the Mayor of Campello. Life long communicant of St. Margaret Church.
He is survived by a sister, Mary C. Gove of Taunton, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
