Ruth E. (Whiteneck) Webster, age 83, of Hampstead, NH, died Monday at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, MA.
She was born in Atkinson, NH, grew up and was educated in Hampstead, NH, where she graduated from Hampstead High School. She later graduated from Plymouth Teachers College in Plymouth, NH.
Mrs. Webster was a retired elementary teacher for the Pollard school in Plaistow NH. She also taught for the Salem School System, and the Hampstead, NH School system.
She was a member of the Hampstead Congregational Church where she had been a former Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the VFW Post 8546 Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Alumni Association of Plymouth College, and the Kimball Family Association. Mrs. Webster was very involved with various civic groups and enjoyed being with people.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, 2004 at 11 AM at the Hampstead Congregational Church, Hampstead, NH. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 15, 2004 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
