Domenic A. Prestone passed away on February 6, 2013. He was 77 years old.
Born in Boston, Domenic was a longtime resident of Malden before moving to Saugus. He served in the U.S. Army, was a former professional boxer and worked as a foreman for Local 22 for over 60 years.
Domenic was the devoted husband of the late Dawn (Rivers) Prestone. He was the beloved father of Domenic Prestone Jr. and his wife Marla of Uxbridge, Dana Prestone and his wife Deanna of Revere, and Dawn Prestone of Wakefield. Domenic was the loving brother of Joseph Presterone, Mario Presterone and his wife Theresa, Carolyn Presterone Gunther and her husband Raymond and the late Marian Presterone Vincuilla and Sebastian “Sonny” Presterone. He was the cherished grandfather of Gina, Devon, Derek, Daniella and Julianna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday, February 13th at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
