Britt, Frank Henry, 90, of Louisville passed away Thursday February 7, 2013.
Frank was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a charter member of Chapel Hill United Church of Christ. He had worked for LG&E for 46 years. An “L” Club member of University of Louisville and Athletic Hall of Fame member at DuPont Manual High School. Co-Founder of DuPont Manual Alumni Association. He was a loving husband & father.
He is preceded in death by his son, Roger Britt.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lavern (Gagel) Britt; four children, Mark Britt (Denise), Rhea Higdon (James), David Britt (Tina) and Stephen Britt (Dana);a daughter-in-law, Ann Allen; a brother, Rev. James Britt (Doris); 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Monday at the Chapel Hill United Church of Christ 2307 Embassy Lane with private burial to follow. Visitation will be 12:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
