VENICE, FL-Josephine (Keating) Dodge of Venice, FL, died July 11th at Bon Secours/Venice Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Dodge of Venice and formerly of Worcester, MA. She was the daughter of the late Leo A. and Anna J. (Callan) Keating of Natick, MA. Mrs. Dodge leaves 6 stepchildren, 22 step grandchildren and several cousins.
Prior to her marriage to Mr. Dodge she was a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph and taught at the Boston School for the Deaf for 25 years. Mrs. Dodge was an active member of Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, serving as a lector and in various capacities for the Catholic Council of Women.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, July 15th at 11:00 AM at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. Private burial and graveside services will be held in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, 637 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA 02135. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is directing arrangements.
