Kathleen McHenry, 88, formerly of Atlantic Blvd. in North Providence, died Monday, February 4 at Hallworth House in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late James L. McHenry.
Born in Hamptonshire,England,the youngest daughter of George and Daisy (Parnell) Rogers, Kathleen came to America as a war bride in 1946.
She was an inspector for the former Monet Jewelry for 15 years and for the former Mine Saftey for 29 years. She was an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels and also at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was a former treasurer for the Smith Appleby House; a community chairperson for AARP delivering toys and clothing for the less fortunate and transatlanic brides and parents association.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM in Mary Mother of Mankind, 25 Fourth Street, North Providence. Burial private. Visitation 9:30-10:30 AM.
