JUNE (BLACKWELL) MITCHELL, age 78, formerly of Hingham and Plymouth, died on June 26, 2004 at her home in Murphy, North Carolina after a long battle with cancer.Mrs. Mitchell, a homemaker, was born in Weymouth and was raised and educated in Hingham, where she graduated from Hingham High School. She was a resident of Hingham and Plymouth for many years before moving to Murphy, NC 20 years ago.She was the wife of the late Elmer "Mitch" Mitchell, who died 6 months ago in Murphy, also after a long illness. Mitch and June are survived by 4 children; Sherry Langill and Paul Mitchell both of Hingham, Steven Mitchell and Michelle Mitchell both of Murphy, NC. June was the sister of Nancy Eaton of Orleans and Lester Blackwell of New Hampshire. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.The funeral services and interment were held in Murphy, North Carolina.
