Obituary

Murry George Simon, 88 years of age, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 after a long illness. Born and raised in Chelsea, MA. Murry was educated in Chelsea schools and graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1943.
He later moved and spent over 67 years living in Revere, MA. .

During WWII Murry also worked as a civilian employee of the Charlestown Navy Yard. Later he founded and owned Ace Burglar and Fire Alarm in Revere, MA. He also was a licensed real estate broker.

Murry was very active in many organizations; he was a former Mason, member of the Square and Compass Club, Past President of MA Alarm Assoc., former member of the Brotherhood of Temple B’Nai Israel of Beachmont and Congregation Tifereth Israel were he also sat on the Board of Directors and served as an officer. former Noble Grande of Kearsage Lodge of the Odd Fellows, Revere Ward 2 State Democratic Committee Delegate and Treasurer. Current City of Revere Planning Board Committee Member.


Beloved husband of Jeanette “Janet” (Seltzerman) Simon. Devoted father of Natalie Simon, Lois Simon Sauls and her husband Allen Sauls. Loving son of the late Nathan Simon and the late Bessie (Fisher) Simon. Dear brother of the late Max Simon and the late Frieda Bell. Loving Grandfather of Charlee Bianchini and Iladro Sauls.


Services will be held at Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue, Chelsea (Cary Sq.) on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11AM. Interment in Temple B’Nai Israel Cemetery, Everett, MA. Contributions in Murry’s memory may be made to the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home 17 Lafayette Avenue, Chelsea, MA 02150 or to Support Pancreatic Cancer Research at MGH, c/o MGH Development Office, 165 Cambridge Street, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114
