WORCESTER - Mr. Roger P. “Sarge” Sargentelli, 71, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 28, 2013.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Elizabeth (Lemay) Sargentelli of Worcester, three daughters, Donna Sargentelli, Darlene Staruk, and Jennifer Mandella and her husband Brad; a brother, Dennis J. Sargentelli and his wife Eileen of Lowell; three grandchildren, Cassena Staruk, Steven Staruk, and Kyle Rochon; close family members, John Sargentelli and Beverly Marotti as well as many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was born January 13, 1942 in Worcester, Massachusetts a son of the late Romeo and Rose (Govina) Sargentelli.
Roger was a lifelong resident educated through the Worcester Schools. He was well known as the owner and operator of Value Station on Belmont St. in Worcester for over twenty-five years. Up until his illness, Roger maintained many vending machines for Express Vending.
One of the first disc jockey’s in the Worcester area, Roger became a large collector and dealer of records. He gained the name of “Record King” due to his vast collection. His passion was classic 50’s and 60’s music, riding his Harley motorcycle, and collecting records.
His funeral will be held Friday, February 1st from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester with a Funeral Mass at 10a.m. at Sacred Heart Church 596 Cambridge St Worcester.
