Mrs. Doris A. (DeScenza) MacIsaac, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of Hugh J. MacIsaac, died at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday afternoon, January 30, 2013. She was 90 years old.
Born in Medford on June 19, 1922, Doris was the beloved daughter of the late Alfred F. and Bertha (Silver) DeScenza. Mrs. MacIsaac was a communicant of St. Joseph Church for her entire life. She was active in the St. Joseph Mothers Club and was a member of the Thursday Fort Nightly Club, for many years. She was also a member of the Medford Boat Club and enjoyed playing golf at the Hatherly Country Club in Scituate. Besides her beloved husband, Hugh, Doris will be very sorely missed by her loving children; Ann and her husband James Paolucci of Scituate, Hugh and his wife Jan MacIsaac of Groveland, Irene and her husband Patrick Hoffman of Wilmington, Neil and his wife Mary MacIsaac of Natick, Elaine and her husband Paul Molloy of Stoneham, Gregory and his wife Nancy MacIsaac of Scituate, John and his wife Elif MacIsaac of Weymouth, Doris and her husband Gerard Letendre of North Reading and Paul and his wife Kathleen MacIsaac of Medford, brother and sister-in-law; Alfred W. and his wife Shirley DeScenza of Essex, 28 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ethel M. DeScenza. Doris was lovingly cared for by Miledez Erazo, Mercedes Rodriguez and Mary White.
Her funeral was held in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 9 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Visiting hours were held in St. Joseph Church, Friday, February 1, 2013, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was held in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
