Salvatore N. “Sal” Commendatore,, 84 of Greenville, now rests in peace with his beloved late wife, Mary (Barbino) Commendatore.
Born in Waterbury, Ct, Sal was the son of the late Alfio and Pauline Commendatore. Sal was a member of Phi Kappa Theta and was a US Navy Veteran. He was a technical engineer and consultant who spent most of his life working in the plating industry. He was a communicant of St. Philip Church in Greenville.
Sal is survived by his seven children: Paula Commendatore and her partner, Jim Rose, Palma Pelletier and her husband, Larry, Alfred Commendatore, Anthony Commendatore and his wife, Mary, Mary Lynn DeCrescenzo and her husband, Anthony, Michael Commendatore and his wife, Cheryl, Marcia Vallier and her partner, Rick Angelillo, his fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Rose Borgeson and his brothers, Frank and Salvatore, all in CT. He is predeceased by his sisters Concetta Blancato and Theresa Commendatore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be Saturday in Waterbury CT. Visitation respectfully omitted.
