Vasiliki “Vaso” Bonos, 85 of Medford, died Saturday after a brief illness.
Born in Greece she lived in Medford for the past 5 years and was formerly of Somerville. She was the daughter of the late Evangelia (Exarhopoulou) and Dimitrios Athanasopoulos.
Vaso was an assembler at the former Comfort Pillow and Feather Company in Somerville for 10 years and retired in 1985. She was a longtime member of St. Catherine’s Philoptochos Society of Somerville.
Beloved wife of the late Panagiotis “Peter”. Devoted mother of Nick Bonos and his wife Maria of Potomac, MD, James Bonos and his wife Irene of Auburn, Lefk Lynch and her husband William of Medford. Loving grandmother of James, Christina, Peter and Katerina. Sister of Toula, Maria, Taki and Nick all of Greece.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, Greek Orthodox Church, 29 Central St., SOMERVILLE Saturday at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Saturday from 10-11:30 at the church. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
