Palma F. “Pam” (Rizzo) Cuomo, 83, of Medway, died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Thomas Upham House in Medfield. She was the beloved wife of Joseph M. Cuomo for almost 60 years.
Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on March 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Florence (Badami) Rizzo.
Mrs. Cuomo grew up in Poughkeepsie and resided there until moving to Las Vegas in 1990 where she resided until moving to Medway in 2009.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Cuomo worked at IBM in Poughkeepsie for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jodi Cuomo of Las Vegas and Renee Cassidy and her husband Kevin of Medway and one grandson Joseph Cassidy.
She was the sister of the late Josephine Casale and Phil Rizzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, January 30 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway.
Burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
