Heather Smart, 45, of Bellingham, formerly of Natick, passed away on January 27, 2013 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved daughter of Shirley (Jones) Smart of Bellingham and the late John Smart, II.
Born in Framingham, Heather was raised and educated in Natick. She graduated from Natick High School in 1986. Despite living with Spina Bifida for most of her life, Heather was a social butterfly with an awesome sense of humor. She enjoyed “surfing” the web, cruising around the Natick Mall in her wheelchair, and as a child spending time at Camp Arrowhead. She was an active member of the Charles River Vineyard Christian Fellowship in South Natick.
Heather was the devoted sister of John Smart and his wife Lisa, Bonnie Bourque, and James Smart and his wife Bonnie all of Bellingham, Maxine Dolan and her husband Craig of Norfolk, and Joseph Smart of Natick, and the late Richard Smart. She was the dear god-daughter of Mickey and Joe Romat of Holliston and is also survived by many loving family members and her Home Health Aide Maureen O’Dowd.
Visiting hours will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) Natick on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 3-7 PM with a funeral service to be conducted at 7:00 PM.
