Carolyn L. Peacock Stephens, age 78, formerly of Douglas, GA, passed away at her home in Lakeland, FL on January 24, 2013 after an extended illness. Mrs. Stephens was born July 16, 1934 in Douglas, GA to the late David Peacock and Hannah Sweat Peacock.
Survivors include: Her son: Marshall Reed Stephens, Lakeland, FL; Stepson:Jim O. (Betty) Stephens, Winter Haven, FL; her chosen dau: Dawn Grant (Kent) Kahre, Lakeland, FL. Bro:W. "Boe" Peacock, Douglas, GA; Sisters: Maggie Hullet, Douglas, GA and Mary Kirkland,Auburndale FL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 28, 2013, at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel in Lakeland, FL from 6 to 8 PM.
Funeral service will be held in Douglas, GA Thursday January 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Douglas Gospel Assembly Church with interment at Douglas Gospel Assembly Cemetery, 1111 Jowers RD, Broxton, GA.
