Francis F. "Bud" Cobb, Jr.
Retired Truck Driver for J.G. MacLellan Concrete Co.

TEWKSBURY: Francis F. "Bud" Cobb, Jr. age 81, a Tewksbury resident for 52 years, formerly of Medford, passed away at the Lowell General Hospital- Saints Medical Center Campus on Sunday, January 20, 2013.
He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Edith "Sylvia" (Breeden) Cobb.
Born in Dexter, Maine on November 4, 1931, he was the son of the late Francis F. Cobb and the late Phyllis (Warden) Cobb.
Bud was raised in Dexter, Maine, attended Dexter schools and graduated from Dexter High School.
In 1953, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his active duty service.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a truck driver by the J.G. MacLellan Concrete Company, where he worked for more than 20 years.
Bud was a member of the Tewksbury V.F.W. Post # 8164, the Tewksbury American Legion Post # 259, and the Tewksbury Lions Club.
He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife and family.
In addition to his wife , he is survived by three sons, Glenn F. Cobb of Hampton, NH, Mark S. Cobb and his wife Kimberly of Hampton, NH and Brett D. Cobb of Tewksbury; one grandson, Jarrod Cobb of Hampton, NH; one brother, Robert Cobb and his wife Joan of Newfoundland, Canada; also many nieces and nephews.
Bud was the brother of the late John Cobb, Clara Giambusso, Delores Leighton, and Margaret Haskell.
A Memorial Prayer Service will be held Monday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. in the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. At the request of the family there are No Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Tewksbury Lions Club, P.O. Box 314, Tewksbury, MA 01876.
