Ann J. Silver, age 65, of Haverhill formerly of Medford passed away peacefully on January 24th at the Life care Center of Stoneham following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late William Silver and longtime companion of the late Jack Rabbitt. Born in Cambridge she was the daughter of the late John and Bianca (Caldana) Walsh.
Ann worked for more than twenty years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an Administrator within the Department of Education. Ann possessed a wonderful and happy personality and truly enjoyed interacting with others, helping them work through personal problems with her genuine concern, care and counseling. She was mostly devoted to her family and she especially looked forward to family holiday gatherings cherishing those times when they would all be together to share each other’s company. In her leisure time when not helping others Ann enjoyed spending time at the beach in the warm sun.
Ann is survived by her devoted sister of Rita Renault of Medford, brother, John Walsh and his wife Della of Tewksbury, and sister, Deborah Hill of Center Valley, PA. She was the cherished aunt of William Renault Jr. of Wilmington, Dionne Kierstead of Tewksbury, John Walsh of Lowell, Kelly Hill of Mechanicsburg, PA and Jacob Hill of Center Valley, PA.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Monday, January 28th, at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Sunday from 2 thru 6 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
