Obituary

Mr. Richard Piemonte, age 38 of Medford died Wednesday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, following a lifelong illness.
Mr. Piemonte was born in Boston, son of Paula (Federico) Piemonte of Quincy and the late Richard Piemonte. He was a lifelong Medford Resident and a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1992.
He worked as a Customer Service Representative for New Balance Shoe in Brighton for over 12 years. Richard was known to be a "Happy Go Lucky" guy who enjoyed playing poker, occasional trips to Las Vegas and Foxwoods. He was a faithful fan of the New England Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics. He also followed the Boston College teams. He leaves many friends from the Pearl Street Station Restaurant where he was known to "bend an elbow or two"
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister: Maria Piemonte of Medford. He is the nephew of Barbara Eisenzopf of Fitchburg, Robert Piemonte and his wife Angelika of Bridgewater, Joseph Federico and his wife Donna of Quincy.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 through 8 p.m. at Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard's name may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 275 Turnpike Street, Canton, MA 02021
