Obituary

LEICESTER: Frances R. (Schliker) Conley, 77, of 1350 Main Street died Wednesday, Jan. 23 in her home after an illness.

She leaves three sons William Conley of Leicester, James Conley and his partner Bruce Derfler of Jamaica Plain and Thomas Conley of Leicester, three daughters Frances Conley of Turners Falls, Karen Conley of Worcester and Peggy Conley of Leicester, five grandchildren Paul LaPorte, Sherice Conley, Joseph Conley, Zeth Anger and Emma Conley, a sister Helen Schliker of Leicester, a brother Charles Schliker and his wife Judy of Leicester and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sisters Anna Beahn and Mary McCluskey and a brother Richard Schliker.

Frances was born in Leicester, daughter of Clark V. and Rosaria (Casale) Schliker. She was a secretary at Commonwealth Retirement Services in Worcester. She was a member of St. Pius X Church. She enjoyed riding motor cycles and was a former member of Woman on Wheels. She loved Country & Western music and proudly knew all of the lyrics to any song. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all the latest technology.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 26 at 11:00AM in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. Friends and family may pay their respects at the church from 10:30-11:00AM prior to the Mass on Saturday. MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
