Beverly A. McCue, of Woburn for many years passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 21st. She was 72. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph MacMaster and Donald McCue. Born in Cambridge on October 26, 1940 she was the daughter of Anna (Brescia) Lauria of Woburn and the late Daniel J. Pento.
Beverly was raised and educated in Woburn and was a 1959 graduate of Woburn High School. She worked for many years as a sales associate with JC Penny, Sears and Curtain Time of Stoneham specializing in home furnishings and window decorating. Beverly was an extremely generous and kind person, almost to a fault as it was mentioned by her family. She was always willing to open her home to anyone that needed a place to stay or a delicious home cooked meal. She was constantly putting the needs of others ahead of her own. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a dear friend to many. She enjoyed nothing more than to be surrounded by the people she loved and cherished.
In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, playing cards, taking the occasional trip to the casino and trying her luck with the lottery. She also had a strong love of animals and would take in a stray every now and then. She will be greatly missed by her pets Samantha and Kitty.
In addition to her loving mother, Beverly is survived by her devoted children, Thomas McCue of Woburn, Ann Marie Caldwell and her husband Andy of Woburn, Joanne Ferraris and her husband Gary of East Waterboro, ME, Joseph and Daniel MacMaster both of New York, and the late James M. McCue. She was the loving grandmother of Jennifer McGonigle and her husband Dan, Robert Kent, Katelyn and Nicholas Caldwell, Briana MacMaster, Nicole MacMaster, Adam and Blake Collella. She was the loving great grandmother of Gage Maroni. Sister of Adeline "Lee" Matheson and her husband John of Woburn, Daniel Pento and his wife Agnes of NH, and Paul Pento of Woburn. Niece of John Brescia of Burlington. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, January 26th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Friday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Interment services will be private.
