Obituary

Maurice S. Lavoie, 88, formerly of Manchester, died July 6, 2004 in Phoenix, AZ.

He was born in Manchester, NH on May 14th, 1916, the son of Homer and Ida (Gauthier) Lavoie. He was educated in the Manchester school system.

He served in the US Navy during WWII.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Lavoie had been employed as a sales manager for Karam’s Department Store in Phoenix. While he lived in Manchester, he had been employed by H.A. Lavoie Dairy.

When living in Manchester, he was a parishioner of St. Edmond Church.

Members of his family include his wife Patricia (Murray) Lavoie of Phoenix; One son Moe Lavoie Jr. of Goffstown; One daughter Priscilla Hiatt of Arizona; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; Two sisters Mrs. Renald (Dorothy) LaRochelle of Manchester and Lillian Larochelle of St. Petersburg, FL; several nephews and nieces;

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday July 14, 2004 in The Parish of the Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St. Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 St. Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
