Obituary

Francis “Frank” S. Corso, 76, of Franklin died January 21, in the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Franklin. He was the husband of Janice R. (Heaton) Corso.
Born in Norwood, March 27, 1936, the son of the late Salvatore and Carmela (Gemelli) Corso, Mr. Corso had lived in Franklin for 51 years.
He had been a truck driver for Melville Private Cartage Company for over 25 years before retiring.
Mr. Corso was a member of Teamsters Local 653.
He was a member of the American Cribbage Congress and the Franklin Lodge of Elks.
He had played in the Town softball league and had coached Franklin Little League.
Frank had had his own dance band and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Balabanis and her husband Edward of Foxboro, Francis Corso, Jr. of Provincetown and Richard Corso and his partner Donald Laliberte of Providence, Rhode Island.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Olivia and Addison, and a sister Carol Taylor of Hanover
His funeral service will be held in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin Friday at 10:00.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8.
