Gilberte “Gillie” Bourgeois, 87, of Manchester, died January 21, 2013 at the Elliot Hospital after a period of failing health.
She was born in Manchester May 2, 1925 the daughter of Louis and Rose (Provencher) Bourgeois. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Gillie worked at T.J. Maxx for 13 years.
She had been a member of the Sodality of St. Anne for many years.
Family members include a sister, Desneige “Dee” Stone and her husband Harold of Manchester; a godchild, Susan Follansbee of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by seven siblings, Roseda Cameron, Emma Courteau, Denis Bourgeois, Roger Bourgeois, Rita Fournier, Lucille Bourgeois and Euclide Bourgeois.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, January 24, 2013 in St. Catherine Church. Private burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery.
