Sonya Desjardins, 48, of Derry, NH, died unexpectedly at home. She was born in Wurzburg, Germany on February 20, 1964 a daughter of Richard and Raymonde Desjardins. Sonya was raised in Pelham and Windham, NH and was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry. She was employed as an ultrasound technologist for over 25 years. Sonya enjoyed travel, cooking, warm weather and time spent with family and her dog Jessie.
In addition to her parents of Windham, she is survived by her daughter, Kaleigh Sloan of Freeport, ME; two sisters, Audrey Desjardins of Ketchikan, AK, and Renee Stevenson of Swanzey, NH; three nephews, Jonathan Desjardins and Joshua Stevenson both of Nashua, NH, and Aaron Stevenson of Manchester, NH along with many other close friends and family.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd from 9 - 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home. The burial will be in the New Plains Cemetery, Ministerial Rd., Windham.
