Arthur L. “Bill” Walker Jr., age 70 of Medford, Passed Wednesday in his Medford home after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Walker was born in Augusta, GA, the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Flossie (Owens) Walker. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. After his service in the military, he and his wife settled in Medford. He retired as a Mechanic from the Polaroid Company after 41 years.
His family was always first priority, especially his two granddaughters. His passions were few but taken quiet seriously; fishing when ever he could, whether in the city or in Hyannis harbor, R.V.ing throughout the country, where he could be heard on his CB as "Yankee Rebel”, and lastly his sense of patriotism through the American Legion Post 19.He is survived by his wife Julia “Sheila” (Murphy). The father of Ellen Marie Pignatone and her husband Paul S. of Medford, and the late Robert S. Walker. Loving Grandfather of Nicole and Janelle Pignatone. Dear brother of Mavis Black and Pansey Colley both of GA, and the late Betty Nettle and Shirley Levason.Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10:30 AM . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
