TAUNTON – Angela Colon-Cornier, 83, died at her Taunton home surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 17, 2013.
She was the wife of the late Sixto Cornier.
Born, raised and educated in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Cruz and Gerarda (Vega) Colon.
Raising her own family of seven in Puerto Rico, she moved to Taunton with her late husband in 1988.
Mrs. Colon-Cornier was a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church and was deeply devoted to the Virgin Mother Mary.
She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and listening to native Puerto Rican music.
Survivors include four sons, Jose L. Cornier and his wife Nereida, Pedro J. Cornier, Santos Cornier and Noel Cornier, all of Taunton; three daughters, Angela Cornier-Santos and her husband Jose, Nilda Cornier and Ramona Cornier all of Taunton; two brothers; five sisters; twenty six grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was also the mother of the late Fernando and Jesus Cornier.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday Jan. 23rd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 22nd from 5 to 8 p.m.
