Obituary

Sherry, Paul F. of Dedham, passed away January 14, 2013.

Beloved husband of Helen N. (Riordan) Sherry of Dedham. Loving father of Susan Sherry of Quincy, Diane Sherry of Quincy, and Helen Sherry and her husband Leo Lamont of VA. Cherished grandfather of Lee Lamont of VA. Loving brother of the late George Sherry, Robert Sherry, Rita Sherry, and Jean Lonergan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Paul honorably served his country as a United States Marine during WWII and again in the Korean War, Paul was educated at Mission High School and received his BS in Mathematics and MS in Geophysics from Boston College. In his professional life, Paul was an engineer and scientist in the aerospace and defense industry. Paul worked for the Honeywell Corporation for 17 years and ended his career at the New England Research Center in Sudbury. Paul enjoyed history, jazz and was a lifelong fan of BC and NE Patriots football. Paul was devoted to his family and especially to his grandson Lee who was born as Paul approached the age of 80. He will be remembered as caring family man who lived his life with integrity, determination and devotion.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.

Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
