Obituary

Alice M. Cullity, 89, of Manchester, passed away peacefully with her children by her side January 14, 2013 at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Manchester on September 21, 1923, the daughter of James T. and Mabel (Mickein) Monroe. She graduated from West High School, Class of 1940A, and finished her working career at Jordan Marsh after more than 20 years.

She was an avid reader and looked forward to her weekly visits to the Bedford library. She was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed knitting, painting, and her daily walks, and the many past travels with her loving husband. She especially loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, always offering a lending hand with all the love and support she could possibly give.

Alice is survived by her three children, Patricia A. Bezanson and her husband Bruce of Goffstown, Janet Cullity of Goffstown, Thomas Cullity and his wife Sarah of Goffstown; six grandchildren, Scott Bezanson and his wife Kristin of Hagerstown, MD, Stacey (Wiggin) Karacek and her husband Wayne of Chelmsford, MA, Melisa Bezanson Wilson and her husband James of Derry, Northern Ireland, Ryan Wiggin and his wife Michelle of Weare, Megan Cullity of Dunbarton, and Ethan Cullity of Goffstown; four great grandchildren, Hadley Bezanson, Travis Wiggin, Evan Karacek, and Olivia Karacek. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Thomas F. Cullity, her sister, Mary Grigsby, and her brother, James Monroe.

A service was held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
