Arthur N. Cole of Newton died suddenly on Sunday July 4 at Falmouth Hospital. Son of the late Nicholas and Bessie Kouloplos, he was born and raised in Boston. A graduate of Boston English High School Class of 1936, earned and LLB degree from Northeastern University Law School in 1941. After serving in the U. S. Army with the Signal Air Warning Battalion in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during World War II, he became a member of the Massachusetts Bar in 1946. Mr. Cole Mr. Cole was also a First Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corp in the U.S. Army Reserves. He maintained a law practice in Boston for 58 years. A fixture on Beacon Hill and in the Suffolk County courts, Mr. Cole remained an active practicing attorney until the time of his death. The beloved husband of Helen (Spileos), he was the devoted father of Diane Cole Laine of Newton, William A. Cole of Somerville and Andrea Cole and her husband Michael Angelus of Norwood. He was the brother of the late Charles N. Cole and the loving grandfather of Heidi Laine. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Friday at 10:00 Am followed by a Funeral Service at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Weston at 11:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment Newton Cemetery.
