Diane C. Durante 61, of Brockton died peacefully January 10, 2013 in the Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton after an extended period of failing health. She is the loving wife of Peter Durante. Diane was born in Boston, raised and educated in E. Boston before moving to Brockton more than 27 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Helen Coscia and Duane Leopard.
For many years Diane worked in the Medical Billing Department of the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton and retired in 2000. Diane will be remembered as a kind, generous and compassionate person who often put the needs of others before her own. One who enjoyed crafts and working with her hands and had a special love of animals. Diane was blessed throughout her life with the love of many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends whom she held close to her heart.
Visiting hours in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton Monday 4-7pm. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 for a funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
