Gail S. Binmore, age 53, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 8, 2013 while on vacation in Cancun, Mexico.
Born in Montreal, Canada on May 20, 1959, she was the loving daughter of Jackie Munro and her husband David of Montreal, Canada and Raymond Binmore and his wife Joan of St. Pete’s Beach, Florida.
Gail grew up and was educated in Canada. She was a graduate of John XXIII High School in the suburbs of Dorval. She continued her education and was a graduate of Champlain College and Bishop’s University, both in Quebec.
Her working career involved a long history of working for technology companies. She had most recently been employed as an Account Executive for SAP America and had previously worked at the Oracle Corporation.
A resident of Mansfield for the past 22 years, Gail’s first priority in life was raising her son and daughter. She loved horseback riding; a hobby of which she also shared with her daughter. In addition to her own family, she served as a second mother to many more.
Gail was an avid New England Patriots fan. In addition to horseback riding , another one of her favorite interests included snow skiing. Gail’s family wishes to thank the tremendous support of the “brain trust”
In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by her beloved children, Brent J. Doherty and Cassidy R. Doherty both of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Gary Munro and his wife Carole of Ottawa, Canada, Jim Munro and his wife Kim of Ottawa, Canada and Jo-Ann Munro of Montreal, Canada. She is also survived by her step sisters, Pamela Hill and Tanya Boyd both of Florida, her stepchildren, Melissa Cummings and her daughter Callie of California, Deandra Morse of California and Justin Morse of Boston and her former husbands Joseph Doherty and Chuck Morse.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of Gail’s life on Thursday, January, 17th at 1:00 P.M. followed by a reception till 4:00 P.M. at Demetri’s, 2 Washington Street (Route 1) Foxboro.
In lieu of flowers, Gail’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Gail S. Binmore Scholarship Fund, Care of, Mansfield bank, 80 North Main St., Mansfield, MA02048.
